Five players Darrell Clarke could sign for Walsall

Darrell Clarke will be looking to put his own stamp on his newly inherited Walsall squad this summer. Here are five players he could sign for the Saddlers-

Daniel Leadbitter- The right-back played for Clarke at Bristol Rovers and played a key part in their rise from the National League to League One during his time there. The 28-year-old is leaving the Pirates on a free transfer this summer and would be ideal for the Saddlers.

Sam Slocombe- Clarke signed the ex-Scunthorpe United and Oxford United ‘keeper for Bristol Rovers in 2017 and he is also leaving them this summer. He has played just under 250 games in his career and would be good competition/back-up for the Walsall number one spot next season in League Two.

Stuart Sinclair- The 31-year-old is likely to be considered by Clarke. He managed him at Salisbury City and then signed him in 2014 when Bristol Rovers were relegated to the National League (then called Conference). He played over 150 games for the Gas and has also now been released.

Alex Jakubiak- He is a potential loan option for the Saddlers. The current Watford striker has spent time out on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge, Fleetwood Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Falkirk and most recently Bristol Rovers so far in his career.

Paris Cowan-Hall- The 28-year-old would bolster Walsall’s attacking options and make them a force to be reckoned with in the fourth tier. Clarke signed him on loan for the Gas in 2015 from Millwall. He now plays for Wycombe Wanderers.
